Memory is something that fluid and sometimes always maintain a fragile place in the liminal area of human life. This project works back and forth from the author’s personal documentary of his present life and found photograph that he collect. This work depict how memory can be engineered using photograpic reality and photographic traces into something that the author called it alternative memory.
About Artist
Aji Susanto Anom (b.1989) is a lecturer and photographer based in Yogyakarta. His work is basically explores all his personal questions about his life. He has published nine title of his works in photobook and photozine independently. He is also part of collaborative project called Flock Project (@flockproject) that explore possibilities in photobook and photozine. In 2013, he was selected as one of the finalist of Street Photography Award by The Invisible Photographer Asia (IPA). In 2015, he was selected as one of the participant of “Angkor Photography Workshop” under the mentor: Antoine D’Agata and Sohrab Hura. In 2016, one of his work is selected as finalist of BURN MAGZINE Emerging Photographer Fund 2016. His works was exhibited in Indonesia, India, Singapore, Tokyo and Switzerland.
