In my childhood, my dad used to teach me how to draw the view around our neighborhood, and teachers often asked us to draw "my house" too. Since I grew up in a small town, my drawings mostly included fields or agricultural areas. This was because these were things near my home, and I saw them often when I went into town. However, as time passed, these landscapes changed from the childhood images in my mind. Today, those fields have been replaced or interspersed with industrial factories, gas stations, housing estates, malls, and so on, which I see more and more of consistently. Regardless of how these areas change or new things replace them, I still find them strange. That's because the images of fields I saw as a child remain clear in my memories to this day. My memories from the past differ from the present, revealing how changes in the urban fringe affect agricultural areas through the landscape in my memory. Therefore, this photo series highlights the specific areas of my memories that remain vivid by removing new elements that have infiltrated my memory space, emphasizing only the most clear and important areas of memory.
